The next DLC has been revealed for rFactor 2, an official BTCC Hyundai car – plus visiting fans of the race will have the chance to win autographed merchandise.

This will be the third BTCC car released this year by Studio 397 and Motorsport Games, after the rear-wheel drive Infiniti Q50 and the front-wheel drive Toyota Corolla GR. in April. The latter will be used for next season’s race using the local competition system next Sunday, August 7.
Manufactured and operated by Excelr8 Motorsport, Hyundai was first introduced to BTCC in 2020, but began to find success in the hands of Tom Ingram the following season, claiming three race victories and six more podiums.
The ‘Ginsters Excelr8’ livery was showcased with TradePriceCars.com that Ingram used in 2021, along with teammate at the time Chris Smiley. There are also a few BTCC-branded generic designs.
It uses a TOCA engine, which was built by Swindon Powertrain, and is identical to the current Toyota and Infiniti engine.

It joins the Historic Mini, a free racing car from Caterham Academy and the World Wide Technology track, as part of the next batch of DLC for the title. The Mini is listed with an August 8 release date, so expect Hyundai, too.
rFactor 2 in upcoming BTCC races
Along with news of a new car for the podium, those attending the final four rounds of the BTCC season in the real world will have the opportunity to test r factor 2 And earn the signed goods, according to BTCC site.
‘BTCC rFactor 2 Hot Lap Challenge’ will allow racing fans to try to determine their best time on one of four simulator platforms in the following rounds:
- Snetterton: August 13-14, 2022

- Brands Hatch GB: October 8-9, 2022
What content will be shown is not clear, though a spokesperson for Motorsport Games confirmed to Traxion.GG that the track in use would be the previously released Donington Park. Attendees will be able to provide feedback, which we hope will be used for custom crafting BTCC game is currently scheduled for 2024.
