The prefecture of Saint-Nazaire told AFP, Friday, that the fire broke out in a car, and a fire spread around it, inside small wood, which was quickly extinguished by firefighters who arrived at the scene. But, “During the intervention, the chief of the St. Livard Firefighter’s Center, aged about 50, was injured unwell” and died at Saint-Nazaire Hospital, Loire Atlantic County identified.
Last summer, Lower Atlantic firefighters mourned the death of a 60-year-old volunteer firefighter while training with a team of water rescuers from Sdis in Pornic.
